Over the past month, DTEK Dnipro Grids emergency and restoration crews restored power to almost 186,000 homes of the region’s residents that were de-energized due to the shelling. Specialists commence work immediately after obtaining permission from the AFU and SES. Our goal is to provide towns and villages with electricity, required for the normal life of the region’s residents.
Light despite shelling: DTEK Dnipro Grids energy workers restored electricity to almost 186,000 homes in September

In September, the enemy continued to shell the Dnipropetrovsk region and attack it with drones, missiles and heavy artillery, thus causing regular power outages in towns and villages of the region.

Despite the danger, DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists continued restoration activities. Over the course of the month, energy workers restored electricity to 185,772 families in the region, whose homes were de-energized due to enemy attacks. Last week alone, electricity was restored to homes of more than 17,000 families.

“Settlements, close to the combat line and occupied territories, suffer the most. Sometimes, work is extremely complicated due to constant shelling this often prevents quick access to the site of damage. Nevertheless, our specialists are working in close cooperation with the SES and the military and restoring power supply on a daily basis. Since the beginning of this year alone, we have restored operation of 89 substations, transformer and distribution points and more than 2,700 kilometers of power lines, damaged by the hostilities. We are ready for the heating season and enemy challenges,” commented DTEK Dnipro Grids CEO Andrii Tereshchuk.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, energy workers have restored power supply to a total of 5 mln households in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Some customers in the frontline districts had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions.
