Light despite shelling: DTEK Dnipro Grids energy workers restored power supply to 797,000 families in October
Energy workers in the Dnipropetrovsk region continue restoring electricity after enemy strikes on power facilities. In October, DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists restored power to 796,954 families, whose homes were de-energized due to the strikes. Last week alone, electricity was restored to more than 167,000 homes.
“An especially difficult situation happened this weekend in one of the region’s frontline towns. Over 13,000 families were left without electricity and water due to the shelling. Over the course of the day, our specialists managed to restore power supply to all de-energized homes. The issue of pump stations operation is currently being handled. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, we have restored electricity to a total of 5.8 mln households in the Dnipropetrovsk region*,” ‒ told DTEK Dnipro Grids CEO Andrii Tereshchuk.
Restoration activities in the frontline zone are ongoing under difficult conditions ‒ shelling does not stop, number of drone attacks increased. Nevertheless, energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site from the AFU and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
