Light despite the strikes: DTEK Dnipro Grids energy workers restored power supply to 1.7 mln families in January

Energy workers in the Dnipropetrovsk region continue restoring electricity after enemy strikes. In January, DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists restored power to 1,698,000 families, whose homes were de-energized by the attacks. Last week alone, electricity was restored to more than 244,000 homes.

The largest power outage occurred in the night from January 7 to 8, when most of the region was left without power supply. Energy workers of DTEK Dnipro Grids worked in the 24/7 mode. As soon as by the morning, they managed to restore electricity to almost all of the critical infrastructure that ensures vital activities of the region, and by the end of the day – to restore power to all residents of the region.

In the night of February 3, Dnipropetrovsk region was once again hit by massive russians’ attack.

“We were hit by drones and missiles. Main strikes were on the heat power facilities, but there was also damage to the electrical infrastructure. By the morning, electricity has been restored to the majority of our consumers. An attack on one of the companys power facilities left nearly 2,800 homes without electricity. As soon as by noon, all of them were energized,” ‒ noted DTEK Dnipro Grids CEO Andrii Tereshchuk.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, energy workers of DTEK Dnipro Grids have already restored power supply to a total of over 8.8* mln households in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Work in the frontline districts is complicated due to constant threat of repeated attacks and limited access to the sites of damage. Nevertheless, energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site from the AFU and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine

In case of a power outage, please inform DTEK Dnipro Grids via official channels: websitesocial mediaViber and Telegram chatbots

We are working 24/7 to ensure a reliable power supply of houses and enterprises.

*Considering that some customers in the frontline districts had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions.
