The light stays on: energy workers of DTEK Dnipro Grids repaired almost 9,700 km of power lines over the course of 4 years

During the four years of the full-scale war, energy workers in the Dnipropetrovsk region repaired 344 substations, transformer and distribution points, as well as 2,603 power lines with a total length of almost 9,700 kilometers. Despite systematic enemy attacks and repeated destruction, they have already restored 97% of the damaged energy infrastructure — and repair works continue after every strike.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists restored electricity to homes of more than 9 mln familiesOften — on multiple occasionsas the same lines have to be repaired again and again due to repeated damageEvery field trip means working in the conditions of increased dangerafter obtaining permission from the military and SESknowing that the threat can recur at any moment. 

Over the course of four yearsmore than 158 mln hryvnias were directed at repairing damaged equipment aloneTodaynearly 15crews go to the sites of damage on a daily basis to eliminate consequences of attacks and restore power supply in the region.

During the full-scale war1 energy worker of the company was killed while performing his professional dutiesanother 10 employees were wounded.
