The light stands: energy workers of DTEK Grids DSO repaired more than 30,000 km of power lines over the course of 4 years

During the four years of the full-scale war, energy workers of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators repaired 1,303 substations, transformer and distribution points, 9,185 power lines with a total length of over 30,000 kilometers in the capital and in Kyiv, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions. Despite systematic enemy attacks and repeated destruction, they have already restored 97% of the damaged energy infrastructure — and repair works continue after every strike.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, company’s specialists restored electricity to more than 39.mln UkrainiansOften — on multiple occasionsas the same lines have to be repaired again and again due to repeated damageEvery field trip means working in the conditions of increased dangerafter obtaining permission from the military and SESknowing that the threat can recur at any moment. 

Over the course of four yearsalmost 691 mln hryvnias were directed at repairing damaged equipment aloneTodaynearly 600 crews are working to eliminate consequences of attacks and restore power supplyEvery daythey go to the sites of damage in DonetskKyivOdesaDnipropetrovsk regions and in the city of Kyiv.

During the full-scale war, 2 energy workers of the company were killed while performing their professional dutiesanother 42 employees were wounded.
