This year, DTEK Dnipro Grids conducted twice as many repairs to ensure stable winter
The upgraded facilities include: 638 substations, 1,692 transformer points and 3 distribution points. To prevent broken wires due to bad weather, energy workers also cleared more than 2,075 km of the overhead power lines from tree branches and deadwood.
“We have already invested over 81 mln hryvnias in repairs ahead of the autumn-winter period. The state of the distribution grid currently allows to provide all customers with stable power supply – providing there will be no new enemy attacks on the country’s energy system,” – commented DTEK Dnipro Grids CEO Andrii Tereshchuk.
In addition, to prepare for the winter period as efficiently as possible, the company urges housing service organizations – municipal housing offices, condominium associations, housing cooperatives, and managing companies – to check the condition and perform maintenance of their in-building electrical networks and eliminate possible malfunctions in time. After all, the statistics shows that an average of 30% of emergencies happen in the in-building or adjacent networks, which are not maintained by the Distribution System Operator.
As informed earlier, DTEK Dnipro Grids has already invested over 837 mln hryvnias in renewal and upgrade of the energy infrastructure of the Dnipropetrovsk region in 2025 within the framework of its own investment program. Additionally, an emergency stock of materials and equipment worth 39 mln hryvnias was formed to promptly react to any emergencies.
