Last week, the enemy intensified the attacks on the Ukrainian energy infrastructure. The most difficult situation is in Donetsk and Odesa regions. From December 8 to 14, energy workers managed to restore power to 378,200 homes in the Donetsk region that suffers from consequences of active hostilities on its territory.
During the same period, they managed to restore electricity to 325,100 homes in the Odesa region that suffers from consequences of the most significant attacks on the region.
From December 8 to 14, energy workers in the Dnipropetrovsk region, which continues to suffer from both enemy attacks and the proximity of the frontline, also managed to restore electricity to more than 314,400 homes of local residents, de-energized by shelling.
“The enemy is intensifying his attacks on power facilities. Despite the constant danger and continuous destruction of the energy system, energy workers continue repairs and have been restoring electricity to the homes of Ukrainians for as long as 1,391 days now. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to a total of 29.9 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. We restored electricity to some settlements close to the combat zone on dozens of occasions,” – noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.
DTEK Grids DSO energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
