Services without barriers: there is a special service for people with hearing impairments on the DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids website

DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids creates environment and adapts services to the needs of all customers, including those with disabilities. From now on, there is an option for people with hearing impairments to get required information from a contact center specialist in sign language. This service can be found on the DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids website.

DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids adapts online services to the needs of the widest range of customers. Thus, people with hearing impairments can communicate with a specialist of the company live. They can ask questions, the solution of which requires an individual approach, and receive information about the company services. To date, DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids customers have already used this service 165 times.

“DTEK is transforming its business in accordance with the New DTEK 2030 Strategy, based on ESG principles and business responsibility for achieving the sustainable development goals of the UN Global Compact. Implementing inclusive customer service approaches is an important step towards barrier-free services for people with disabilities. Therefore, we adapt our services so that they are convenient for all customers. This is in line with Sustainable Development Goal #16 Peace and Justice. We have made sure that our services are convenient for customers with hearing impairments. Using a special purpose form on the website, people can receive an online video consultation in sign language,” says Vitalii Shaida, Head of DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids.

The service is available 24/7. To receive a video consultation in sign language, please do the following:

  • Find the blue icon with an ear image in the lower right corner;
  • Following the instructions, get the needed info from our specialist;

Hearing-impaired customer service online is in line with the company's policy to create barrier-free customer environment both physical and virtual. Renovating its own service centers, DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids makes them convenient and accessible for customers with disabilities. Therefore, they are arranged with the needs of wheelchair users in mind. Today 11 out of 24 centers are equipped with ramps.
