Awarded for electricity restoration: energy workers received honorary awards of the Pivdenne City Council
The mayor of Pivdenne Volodymyr Novatskyi awarded honorary certificates to 12 energy workers of DTEK Odesa Grids for restoration of electricity after an enemy attack on March 5. In three days, thanks to the titanic efforts and coordinated professional work, specialists managed to restore power supply to the heat, water supply and wastewater disposal facilities in the town of Pivdenne and to more than 10,000 customers.
“From the bottom of my heart, I express my gratitude to the energy workers of DTEK Odesa Grids. They worked non-stop, with full dedication, tirelessly, regardless of their strength and health. Due to the round-the-clock repair works, they managed to energize critical infrastructure facilities as soon as the next day, thus providing homes with water and heating, and a day later electricity has been restored to homes of 10,000 residents. This is, without exaggeration, a titanic work. Thank you!” – underscored Volodymyr Novatskyi, head of the Pivdenne city council. 

Honorary certificates have been awarded to Serhii Kukhar, lead engineer of the distribution grids repair and operation center, Valerii Skorobrekha, senior foreman of the substations repair and operation center, Yevhen Ilchak, foreman of the substations repair and operation center, Pavlo Mazur, Bohdan Pavlychko, electric fitters on repair of switchgear hardware, Vasyl Ivantsiv, Illia Taran, Mykola Pashtepa, distribution girds operation electricians, Serhii Klymtsev, Yurii Topchii, special machinery operators, Oleksandr Semeniuk, Serhii Yasak, plumbers. 


Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, almost 600 energy workers of DTEK Odesa Grids received honorary awards. In particular, more than 60 energy workers of DTEK Odesa Grids received awards of the President of Ukraine, Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Ministry of Energy of Ukraine and local authorities for their work in extreme conditions, ensuring the integrity of the energy system during regular russian attacks and on the occasion of a professional holiday – Energy Worker’s Day.
