The enemy attacked 4 power facilities of DTEK Dnipro Grids
From June 5 to 8, four of the company’s power facilities in the frontline districts came under heavy enemy fire again. Enemy shells and drones hit several times, however, energy workers of DTEK Dnipro Grids promptly restored power supply after every strike. Unexploded ammunition and drone debris have also been found on site; therefore, SES specialists had to be engaged.
On Saturday, the attacks forced energy workers to restore electricity to 12,700 residents twice. Upon completion of restoration activities after the first drone attack, another enemy strike took place. DSO specialists worked throughout the day and only on Sunday evening did they restore electricity to all affected homes.
On June 8, approximately at midnight, the enemy attacked power facilities once again. The hits left as many as 67 settlements in the region – over 30,000 families – without electricity. A transformer was damaged and set on fire at one of the facilities. Though, SES rescuers promptly eliminated the fire. As of the morning, energy workers cannot yet begin restoration activities. Inspection of the damaged equipment is possible only after the sappers’ permission. Once the permission is obtained, specialists will commence work and will do everything to restore power supply as soon as possible.
