DTEK Donetsk Grids restored electricity to homes of 6,000 families

On February 21, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists, with the permission of the military, were able to access a number of grids, damaged by shelling, repair it and restore power to 4 settlements, de-energized due to hostilities in the region, thus restoring electricity to homes of more than 6,000 families. Energy workers commence repairs immediately once the shelling subsides and the military provide permission for work performance.

Over the course of the day, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews managed to completely or partially restore power to 4 settlements, thus restoring electricity to homes of 6,341 families in the frontline region. 

Shelling of the Donetsk region continues. According to the head of the region Vadym Filashkin, the enemy shelled settlements of the Donetsk region 14 times yesterday. 

Constant shelling continues to damage the energy system of the region. Specialists of the energy company do not always have access to the work sites due to the security situation in the region. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain permission for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 729 days in a row and repair equipment and lines once it becomes possible. Nearly 70 crews of the energy company are working daily on restorations in the region.
