How to submit meter readings to DTEK: 5 most convenient online methods
Meter readings are to be submitted to the Distribution System Operator (DSO). After that, data related to the used volumes is provided to the supplier, who generates bills. For the billing to represent actual data and not the estimated one, it is better to do it during the period from the last 2 days of the current month to the 3rd day of the next one. It will help avoid differences between estimated and actually consumed volume of electricity, while the supplier will be able to provide billing for the actually consumed electricity only.
“DTEK continues to develop modern online services and has created convenient and easy-accessible remote channels for quick submission of electricity readings. They make it possible to submit data via smartphone, tablet, PC or notebook from anywhere in the world. It is really easy, and it makes the process as convenient for residents of the region as possible. Namely, for those who stays away from home due to the war but who can remotely monitor all charges,” – underscored the company.
For quick and easy submission of meter readings we recommend using one of the five services:
1) convenient web form on the DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids website that does not require registration;
2) Viber and Telegram chatbot;
3) IVR menu of the contact center, by pressing “2”:
- for stationary phones (044) 4590740;
- for mobile phones (067/093/099) 4957040;
4) user account on the DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids website;
5) “Merezhi Online” mobile application (available in AppStore and Google Play Market);
The most convenient service is Viber and Telegram chatbot. Over 100,000 customers of the company are actively using it now. In order to start using a chatbot, please:
- enter “DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids” in the search bar of Viber or Telegram messenger;
- pass verification procedure (for unregistered customers);
- select “submit meter readings” in the menu and follow menu prompts to submit information;
Important. If the customer failed to timely submit data, then he is billed based on the forecasted (average daily) consumption volume rather than an actual one. The customer can submit readings during the billing period next month and the Distribution System Operator will perform adjustments based on the volume of actually consumed electricity.
