How to verify the electricity meter: DTEK Dnipro Grids explains
The meter is a primary tool for metering of the consumed electricity. It’s improper functioning may impact your consumption payments.
You did not change your domestic habits, nor did you buy any new appliances, but the readings of electricity consumption increased? This may indicate malfunctioning of the device. To check its functioning:
- We recommend turning off all electrical appliances in your home and taking a look if the meter continued to count kWh (in this case the disc will be rotating or the digits on the board will be changing).
- If the meter still continues to count kWh, we recommend going to the “Meter Services” section on the DTEK Dnipro Grids website and ordering an inspection of the meter in a matter of minutes. We will take it for inspection and install another electricity metering device with similar features.
- If the indicator lights “Attention”, “Reverse” or “Earth” on the display of your meter are on or if the Т4 zone appeared, we recommend placing a technical inspection request in the same section.
After receiving the request, we will form an invoice depending on the features of your electrical installation.
Correct operation of the meter and timely submission of readings is the basis of accurate charging for the consumed electricity.
