On January 26 and 27, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists, despite shelling and with the permission of the military, managed to conduct a number of grids repairs and restore operation of equipment, damaged by shelling, thus restoring electricity to homes of almost 900 families. Energy workers commence repairs once the shelling subsides and the military provide permission for work performance.

Over the past two days, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews were able to access a number of grids damages and eliminate it, thus restoring electricity to homes of 891 families, de-energized due to constant enemy shelling of the region.

Heavy fighting is ongoing in the Donetsk region. According to the head of the region Vadym Filashkin, the enemy attacked settlements of the region 6 times over the course of the day. In particular, Myrnohrad was hit by three missile strikes.

Constant shelling damages grids and equipment. Specialists of the energy company do not always have access to the work sites due to the security situation in the region.
