DTEK Donetsk Grids managed to restore electricity to almost 6,000 homes in the Donetsk region over the course of the day

On September 20, DTEK Donetsk Grids repair crews were able to access a number of damages, repair it and restore power to 10 settlements, de-energized due to hostilities, thus restoring electricity to almost 6,000 families. Energy workers commence repairs immediately once the shelling subsides and the military provide a permit for works performance.

Over the course of the day, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists have completely or partially restored power to 10 settlements, de-energized due to shelling, thus restoring electricity to 5,913 families. 

According to the Donetsk RMA, settlements in the Donetsk region continue to suffer from constant shelling. The most difficult situation is in Vuhledar, which suffered 4 air strikes and was shelled 28 times over the course of the day. 

Due to constant damage of grids and equipment, caused by shelling, 111 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 575 days in a row and repair equipment and lines once it becomes possible. About 60 crews of the energy company are working daily on restorations in the region.
