DTEK Donetsk Grids managed to restore electricity to more than 2,000 homes over the course of the day

On August 16, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists, with the permission of the military, have repaired a number of damages and restore electricity to residents of 10 settlements, thus restoring access to power supply for more than 2,000 families. Specialists of the energy company commence repairs once the shelling subsides and the military provide a permit for work performance.

Over the course of the day, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews were able to completely or partially restore electricity to 10 settlements, affected by shelling, thus restoring power to homes of 2,449 families in the frontline Donetsk region. 

The situation in the Donetsk region remains difficult, shelling is ongoing, missile and air strikes continue. 

Due to constant damage of grids and equipment by shelling, 143 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 540 days in a row and repair equipment and lines once it becomes possible.
