Over the course of the day, DTEK Donetsk Grids managed to restore power to 7 settlements, de-energized due to shelling

On January 17, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews managed to access a number of grids damages and repair it, thus restoring electricity to 7 settlements. Homes of 1,100 families are once again connected to power supply. Energy workers commence repairs once the shelling subsides and the military provide permission for work performance.

Yesterday, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists were able to completely or partially restore power to 7 settlements, affected by hostilities, thus restoring electricity to 1,110 families. 

Shelling, missile and air strikes are ongoing in the Donetsk region. According to the head of the region Vadym Filashkin, the enemy attacked settlements of the Donetsk region 19 times over the course of the day. In particular, Avdiivka was hit by several air strikes. 

Active shelling constantly damage grids and equipment. Specialists of the energy company do not always have access to the work sites due to the security situation in the region. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 694 days in a row and repair equipment and lines once it becomes possible. More than 60 crews of the energy company are working daily on restorations in the region.
