Electricity has been restored to homes of more than 1,000 families over the course of the day: DTEK Donetsk Grids continues to repair the grids after shelling

Over the course of the day, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews were able to restore electricity to homes of residents of 4 settlements, thus restoring electricity to more than 1,000 families in the frontline Donetsk region. Energy workers commence repairs once it becomes possible in order to support residents of the region in the difficult situation of constant hostilities.

On July 10, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to repair a number of grids damages, making it possible to completely or partially restore electricity to 4 settlements, de-energized due to shelling. Power supply has now been restored to 1,050 families. 

The situation in the Donetsk region remains difficult. According to the head of the region Pavlo Kyrylenko, the enemy has shelled Vuhledar 14 times yesterday, while Novoukraiinka was subjected to artillery shelling. Other communities of the region are being shelled as well. 

Due to constant damage of grids and equipment by shelling, 107 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 503 days in a row and repair equipment and lines once it becomes possible.
