DTEK Donetsk Grids was able to restore electricity to homes of more than 8,000 families over the course of two days

On May 21 and 22, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists, with the permission of the military, were able to restore power to 15 settlements in the Donetsk region, de-energized due to shelling, thus restoring electricity to homes of more than 8,000 families. Energy workers commence repairs immediately once it becomes possible and the military provide permission for work performance.

Over the past two days, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to repair a number of grids damages caused by shelling and completely or partially restore electricity to 15 settlements, thus restoring power to homes of 8,419 families.

The situation in the Donetsk region remains difficult. According to the head of the region Vadym Filashkin, the enemy shelled settlements of the region 21 times yesterday. Shelling continues to destroy peaceful towns and villages, demolishing the energy infrastructure in particular. Specialists of the energy company do not always have access to the work sites due to the security situation in the region. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain permission for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine
