On May 14 and 15, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews, with the permission of the military, were able to restore power to 8 settlements, de-energized due to constant shelling of the region, thus restoring electricity to almost 21,000 families. Energy workers commence repairs immediately once the shelling subsides and the military provide permission for work performance.

Over the past two days, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists were able to eliminate a number of grids damages and restore electricity to residents of 8 settlements, thus restoring electricity to homes of 20,972 families in the Donetsk region.

The ongoing shelling continues to destroy peaceful towns and villages, demolishing energy infrastructure in particular. Specialists of the energy company do not always have access to the work sites due to the security situation in the region. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain permission for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine
