DTEK Donetsk Grids managed to restore electricity to more than 24,000 families over the course of two days

On August 28 and 29, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists have completely or partially restored electricity to 17 settlements, de-energized due to shelling, thus restoring electricity to homes of 24,694 families in the frontline Donetsk region. 

According to the head of the region Pavlo Kyrylenko, shelling of the Donetsk region continues. In particular, Lyman community alone was shelled 58 times yesterday. 

Due to constant damage of grids and equipment by shelling, 115 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 553 days in a row and repair equipment and lines once it becomes possible. About 60 crews of the energy company are working daily on restorations in the region.
