Over the course of two days, DTEK Donetsk Grids restored electricity to residents of 12 settlements, de-energized due to shelling

On October 16 and 17, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews, with the permission of the military, were able to restore power to homes of residents of 12 settlements, affected by shelling, thus restoring electricity to more than 8,000 families in the frontline region. Specialists of the energy company are doing everything possible to restore power in the Donetsk region once the shelling subsides and the military provide a permit for work performance.

Over the course of two days, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists have repaired a number of damages and completely or partially restored electricity to 12 settlements, thus restoring access to power supply for 8,556 families. 

The situation in the Donetsk region remains difficult due to constant shelling. Due to constant damage of grids and equipment by shelling, 118 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 602 days in a row and repair equipment and lines once it becomes possible. About 60 crews of the energy company are working daily on restorations in the region.
