Over the course of two days, DTEK Dnipro Grids energy workers restored power to 7,000 families in the region after rf’s attacks
DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists continue restoring electricity in the Dnipropetrovsk region after enemy strikes. Over the past two days, energy workers managed to restore operation of the grids in 14 settlements of the region, thus restoring electricity to homes of 7,018 families.
Emergency crews commence work immediately after obtaining permission from the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Emergency Service. Despite constant danger and difficult security situation, specialists continue repairing damaged lines and equipment to provide towns and villages with electricity as soon as possible.
Unfortunately, one energy worker was wounded during restoration activities in the frontline town on Tuesday. DTEK Dnipro Grids crew was supposed to restore power supply from the transformer substation, damaged by the strike. To do that, energy workers had to install a new pole in place of the destroyed one. When they approached a damaged pole, an enemy FPV drone hit nearby. The explosion resulted in the concrete structure injuring an electrician, who was promptly taken to the hospital. His condition is stable; paramedics are providing the necessary aid.
Over 21,000 homes in the region currently remain without power supply. Restorations in the frontline zone are complicated by the security risks. Nevertheless, the works are ongoing. Energy workers make every effort to restore electricity to every home as soon as possible.
