Over the course of a week, DTEK has restored power to more than 46,000 families in the Donetsk region

Over the past week, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews, with the permission of the military, managed to conduct repairs and completely or partially restore electricity to 97 settlements, thus restoring power to 46,819 families. Let us recall that the grids are being constantly de-energized due to active hostilities in the Donetsk region. Therefore, energy workers have to constantly repair grids and equipment, damaged by shelling, and restore electricity to residents of the Donetsk region, where it is possible and when the military provide a permit for work performance.

For instance, yesterday specialists of the energy company managed to access a number of sites of grids damage and completely or partially restore electricity to more than 2,000 residents of 5 settlements in Kramatorsk, Pokrovsk and Bakhmut districts. The majority of restorations were in Toretsk community, where electricity was restored to 1,400 households in less than 24 hours. Energy workers also worked in Bakhmut, Kostiantynivka and Selydove communities.

The situation in the Donetsk region remains extremely difficult. Shelling constantly de-energizes the grids and destroys equipment. 107 settlements remain without electricity, as energy workers do not have a permit for works performance from the military and are unable to work there. The most difficult directions are Sloviansk, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk and Bakhmut. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
