Over the course of a week, DTEK has restored power to almost 45,000 families in the Donetsk region

Over the course of a week, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists, with the permission of the military, managed to access a number of grids and equipment damages, perform repairs and restore power to 67 settlements, de-energized due to shelling, thus restoring electricity to homes of almost 45,000 families. Energy workers repair the grids again and again, as soon as it becomes possible.

Due to constant shelling, the situation in the region remained stable difficult last week. Despite that, from August 8 to 14, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists were able to completely or partially restore power to residents of 67 settlements, thus restoring electricity to 44,984 families in the Donetsk region.

For instance, yesterday energy workers have restored electricity to homes of residents of 11 settlements and restored power to almost 4,600 households in Kramatorsk, Pokrovsk and Bakhmut districts.

The majority of restorations were in Sloviansk community that suffered from shelling again. Electricity was restored to 1,600 households there. Specialists of the energy company were also able to work in Avdiivka, Toretsk, Marinka and Kostiantynivka communities.

Hostilities are underway in the Donetsk region. The enemy continues to try to advance in the Donetsk region. 117 settlements remain without electricity, as energy workers do not have a permit for works performance from the military and are unable to work there. The most difficult directions are Sloviansk, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk and Bakhmut. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
