Over the course of a week, DTEK energy workers have restored electricity to 21,000 families in the Dnipropetrovsk region, de-energized due to shelling

Over the past week (August 22 through 28), DTEK Dnipro Grids emergency and restoration crews have restored electricity to homes of more than 21,000 families in the Dnipropetrovsk region that were without power due to shelling. Damaged grids were repaired in 52 settlements. Some settlements required restoration of electricity on multiple occasions due to frequent enemy attacks. Our specialists commence their work immediately after obtaining a permit from the AFU and SES. Our goal is to provide towns and villages with electricity, required for normal life of region’s residents.

Intensity of russian occupants’ shelling of the Dnipropetrovsk region remains high in border districts, frequently causing damage to the grids and leaving residents of the region without electricity. Despite constant threat from aggressors, DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists continue to promptly restore electricity to residents of the region.

Work is carried out immediately after obtaining a permit from the AFU and State Emergency Service. Over the week, power was restored to 21,224 families in 52 settlements, completely or partially de-energized due to hostilities. Some of them required restoration of electrical infrastructure again and again due to constant shelling.

In the last 24 hours alone, DTEK energy workers have restored power to 2,000 families in 7 settlements of the region. Nikopol district remains the most difficult direction that suffers from massive enemy attacks every day.

Over 3,000 families of the region remain without power after yesterday shelling. The majority – in Nikopol district and in the villages of Pokrovsk and Shyroke communities. Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore electricity as soon as possible. Work will be carried out once our specialists obtain a permit from the AFU and SES.
