DTEK Donetsk Grids continues restorations of the grids, affected by the abnormal bad weather. Since Monday, electricity has been restored to homes of almost 41,000 families in 155 settlements. More than 70 crews of the company and crews from other regions work on restorations on a daily basis. Despite the load and constant shelling, energy workers continue to restore power supply in order to bring electricity back to all families, de-energized due to bad weather and shelling, wherever it is possible.

This week, energy workers continued to eliminate large-scale consequences of the abnormal bad weather in the Donetsk region. Since Monday, they have restored operation of almost 700 transformer substations, thus restoring electricity to 40,900 families in 155 settlements.

Including yesterday, when electricity has been restored to 2,500 families in 21 settlements. The works are complicated by shelling, mud, necessity to remove large amount of wood and difficulty of repairs, as there are lines, where poles collapsed on a kilometer-long sections.

Let us remind that last week the company was able to restore electricity to 309,000 families in 304 settlements (cumulative total). Bad weather came in two waves, trees were falling all the time, therefore, energy workers restored operation of some lines on multiple occasions. Likewise, some settlements had electricity restored to them on several occasions too.

Due to an extremely large scale of bad weather, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists first restored power to socially significant consumers – hospitals, waterworks, boiler houses, large areas with the largest number of de-energized houses and apartments. Also, a priority was given to the repair of 35-110 kV high-voltage lines, which power the majority of customers, then to 6-10 kV lines. And after restoration of high and medium voltage power facilities, the specialists proceeded to restoration of operation of 0.4 kV lines that provide power directly to customers' homes.

Due to colossal damage of grids and equipment, colleagues from Dnipro, Odesa and Kyiv region came to help facilitate repairs last week. This week, several more crews of our colleagues from other regions came to help.

More than 70 crews are engaged in restorations on a daily basis. They work on restoration of electricity for about 3,000 households.

Nevertheless, energy workers continue to work.

If you have a power outage, please inform us about it in any convenient way: via remote service channels: DTEK Donetsk Grids website, company’s Facebook page. You can also contact the call center: +38 (093/099) 450 0 473, though it may take more time due to a large number of calls.

Energy workers are working 24/7 and doing everything possible to provide electricity to every home. Only together and with joint efforts will we be able to endure and overcome these dark times!
