DTEK Dnipro Grids energy workers restored electricity after shelling to more than 282,000 families in August
In August, the enemy continued to terrorize the Dnipropetrovsk region with daily shelling that causes damage to the grids and power outages for the residents of the settlements.
Over the course of the month, DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists restored power to 282,737 families in the region, whose homes were left without electricity due to the russian strikes. Last week alone, electricity was restored to more than 50,000 homes in the Dnipropetrovsk region that were de-energized due to the enemy attacks.
Emergency crews commence repairs of the grid immediately after obtaining permission from the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. However, the work in the frontline zone is always risky. Last week, the enemy once again attacked the energy workers’ crew during repair works, completely destroying their repair truck with equipment.
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, energy workers have restored electricity to a total of more than 4.8 mln households in the Dnipropetrovsk region*.
