DTEK Donetsk Grids managed to restore power to more than 214,000 families in January

Despite active hostilities that continue in the region, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists, with the permission of the military, managed to conduct a number of repairs and restore power to residents of 294 settlements* in January, thus restoring electricity to more than 214,000 families in the Donetsk region. Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore power supply in the frontline region once it becomes possible and the military provide a permit for work performance. Since February 24 last year, energy workers restored electricity to a running total of 6.9 mln families.

Active hostilities were underway in the Donetsk region In January. Shelling, missile and air strikes continued. The energy infrastructure was being damaged on a daily basis. Despite all difficulties, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to restore electricity to homes of 214,310 families in 294 settlements last month. 

In particular, over the past weekend alone specialists of the energy company have restored electricity to more than 16,000 families in 9 settlements of the Donetsk region. 

The situation in the Donetsk region remains very difficult. Shelling constantly damages the energy system of the region. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 712 days in a row and are repairing equipment and lines once it becomes possible.
