For tenacity and professionalism: DTEK Dnipro Grids employee was awarded the title “Honored Energy Worker of Ukraine”

By the Decree of the President of Ukraine, the head of the western subdivision of the High Voltage Grids Operation Department at DTEK Dnipro Grids Serhii Hershun was awarded an honorary title “Honored Energy Worker of Ukraine”.

On the Energy Worker Daythe President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi met the industry workers and honored them with state awardsAmong them was an energy worker from Dnipropetrovsk region Serhii Hershun. 

He received the State Award for significant contribution to developing and ensuring operation of the energy complex in the conditions of martial lawfor his personal courage and dedication during elimination of the consequences of emergencies at the energy infrastructure facilitiesas well as for faithful fulfilment of professional duty. 

Serhii has over 30 years of service in the energy industrySince the beginning of the full-scale warhe has been ensuring uninterrupted operation of high voltage lines and substations in the frontline communities of the Dnipropetrovsk regionHe restored power supply in ZelenodolskNikopolMarhanets and adjacent territories close to the combat zoneIn 2025, he organized elimination of consequences of enemy attacks on electric power facilities in Kryvyi Rih and Nikopol districts on multiple occasionsdirectly supervising restoration of the 150 kV substations after the strikes. 

Serhii Hershun is an example of responsible leadershipprofessional tenacity and dedication to the causeand his work is of major importance for the energy resilience of the region in the conditions of war, – noted DTEK Dnipro Grids.
