Over the course of a day, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists, with the permission of the military, managed to restore electricity to 7 settlements, affected by shelling, thus restoring power to homes of almost 7,000 families. Specialists of the energy company commence repairs immediately once it becomes possible and the military provide a permit for work performance.

On January 16, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists have completely or partially restored power to 7 settlements in the Donetsk region, thus restoring power to 6,950 families.

Fighting is underway in the Donetsk region. It is accompanied by massive artillery shelling, missile and air strikes. According to the head of the region Pavlo Kyrylenko, last night the enemy continued shelling settlements in the Donetsk region both on the frontline and in the rear.

Constant shelling continues to destroy the energy infrastructure facilities. 100 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 328 days in a row and are repairing equipment and lines, once it becomes possible.
