DTEK Donetsk Grids has restored power to almost 39,000 households over the course of a day

Over the course of a day, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists have completely or partially restored service to 9 settlements in Bakhmut, Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk districts, thus restoring electricity to almost 39,000 households in the Donetsk region. Specialists of the energy company commence restoration of grids once it becomes possible in order to support residents of the Donetsk region in this difficult situation of constant hostilities.

On September 20, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to obtain a permit from the military for performance of a number of works, perform repairs and restore power to residents of 9 settlements. Energy workers have restored electricity to homes of 38,720 families in Bakhmut, Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk districts.

The majority of restorations were carried out in Bakhmut community, which is one of the main directions of the enemy’s offensive and is being constantly shelled. Electricity has been restored to homes of more than 33,000 families, de-energized due to hostilities about two weeks ago. Energy workers could not access the sites of grids damage and perform repairs due to constant shelling and lack of permission from the military. Once the military permitted – specialists of the energy company have repaired equipment.

A number of activities were performed in Toretsk community that constantly suffers from hostilities as well, restoring electricity to almost 3,000 families.

Additionally, power was restored to 1,100 families in Marinka and a thousand families in Sloviansk communities. Company’s specialists also managed to work in Avdiivka and Kostiantynivka communities.

Donetsk region remains an arena of active hostilities. Therefore, we ask our customers to treat the situation with power supply with understanding. The most difficult directions remain Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk and Bakhmut.

109 settlements of the region remain without electricity. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
