Over the course of a day, DTEK was able to restore electricity to more than 15,000 families in the Donetsk region

On August 10, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews obtained a permit from the military and eliminated a number of outages on the grids, de-energized due to shelling. They managed to completely or partially restore power to 5 settlements in the Donetsk region, thus restoring electricity to more than 15,000 families.

Over the course of a day, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists were able to completely or partially restore electricity to 5 settlements, thus restoring power to 15,390 families in Bakhmut, Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk districts.

The majority of restorations were in Toretsk community that was left partially without electricity for 2 days due to continuous shelling. Here, power was restored to more than 14,000 households. Energy workers, with the permission of the military, manage to restore electricity here almost every day. Other communities of the region suffer from consequences of hostilities as well. For instance, yesterday specialists of the energy company were also able to work in Sloviansk, Avdiivka, Selydove and Marinka communities.

Hostilities are underway, continuing to destroy grids and equipment. The most difficult directions still are Sloviansk, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk and Bakhmut. 92 settlements in the Donetsk region, where energy workers are able to work, remain without electricity. Specialists of the energy company will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
