Over the course of a day, DTEK has restored power to homes of 12,000 families in the Donetsk region
The situation in the region remains very difficult. Despite active hostilities, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists were able to completely or partially restore power to 23 settlements, thus restoring electricity to 12,026 families in Bakhmut, Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk districts.
The majority of restorations (8,400 households) were in Toretsk community, which, together with other frontline communities, suffers from enemy shelling every day. Electricity was also restored to 1,700 families in Bakhmut community, which is being constantly shelled as well, and to over a thousand families in Kostiantynivka community. There are also restorations in Sloviansk and Avdiivka communities.
Massive shelling is underway in the Donetsk region, constantly destroying grids and equipment. Therefore, we ask residents of the region to treat the power supply issues with understanding.
325 settlements in the Donetsk region remain without electricity. The most difficult situation is in the areas of Sloviansk, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk and Bakhmut. Energy workers have to wait for the permit from the Armed Forces of Ukraine to commence repairs.
DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 137 days in a row and are repairing equipment and lines again and again, as soon as it becomes possible.
