Over the course of a day, DTEK restored electricity to 11,000 households in the Donetsk region

Despite active hostilities, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews, with the permission of the military, were able to restore electricity to residents of 13 settlements, thus restoring power to homes of 11,158 families in Bakhmut, Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk districts.

The majority of restorations are in the Sloviansk community, which suffers from constant shelling. Electricity was restored to almost 9,000 families of this community. It took less than 24 hours to restore electricity to 7,000 of them. Another 1,700 families were left without electricity three days earlier – energy workers were unable to access the site of damage due to active hostilities.

Let us recall that due to active hostilities in the Donetsk region performance of restoration activities requires a permit from the military. As soon as shelling subsides and energy workers obtain a permit – they immediately commence restoration activities.

Active fighting is underway in the Donetsk region. Massive shelling cause damage to the grids and shutdown of energy enterprises of the region. The situation is difficult. Therefore, we ask our customers to treat the situation with understanding.

321 settlements in the Donetsk region remain without electricity. The most difficult situation is in the directions of Sloviansk, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk and Bakhmut.

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 143 days in a row and are repairing equipment and lines again and again, as soon as it becomes possible.
