Over the course of a day, DTEK restored electricity to 5,400 families in the Donetsk region
On June 20, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews managed to restore power to residents of 7 settlements in Bakhmut, Pokrovsk and Kramatorsk districts, thus restoring electricity to 5,466 families. The majority – in Pokrovsk district.
It took less than 24 hours to restore electricity to 4,000 of those customers in the difficult areas of Avdiivka and Bakhmut that suffered from shelling.
Hostilities in the region and, consequently, large-scale shelling continue. Power lines and electrical equipment are being constantly damaged, just like the energy enterprises. Lines that were repaired and energized yesterday are being de-energized today. Therefore, we ask residents to treat power supply issues with understanding.
320 settlements in the Donetsk region remain without electricity. The most difficult situation is near Sloviansk, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk and Bakhmut. Energy workers have to wait for the permit from the Armed Forces of Ukraine to perform repairs.
DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 118 days in a row and are repairing equipment and lines again and again, as soon as it becomes possible.
