Over the course of a day, DTEK has restored electricity to more than 5,000 households in the Donetsk region

On August 3, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists, with the permission of military, were able to restore power to homes of residents of 9 settlements, de-energized due to shelling, thus restoring electricity to more than 5,000 families in the Donetsk region. Energy workers commence repairs immediately after obtaining a permit for work performance from the military.

Over the course of a day, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists have completely or partially restored electricity to 9 settlements in the Donetsk region. Specialists of the energy company repeatedly repair grids, damaged by shelling. Power was restored to 5,362 families in Bakhmut, Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk districts.

Yesterday, energy workers, with permission of the military, managed to perform restoration activities in Sloviansk community, restoring electricity to almost 4,000 households of the community that suffers from shelling every day. Specialists of the energy company managed to restore electricity in less than 24 hours here. Additionally, energy workers were able to access and perform a number of repairs in Toretsk, Kostiantynivka, Selydove and Bakhmut communities.

The situation remains extremely difficult in the Donetsk region. Hostilities are underway. Destruction of grids and equipment continues as well. We ask residents to treat possible delay in repairs with understanding. Energy workers are doing everything possible to promptly restore power once they obtain a permit from the military.

The most difficult directions are Sloviansk, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk and Bakhmut. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
