Over the course of a day, DTEK has restored power to 58,400 households in the Donetsk region
DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews were able to completely or partially restore power to residents of 40 settlements in the Donetsk region, thus restoring electricity to 58,433 households in Bakhmut, Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk districts.
The majority of restorations were in Bakhmut community, where shelling caused significant damage to the grids infrastructure. Here, energy workers managed to restore electricity to homes of 47,200 families in less than 24 hours. Specialists of the energy company also managed to restore power to 9,300 families in Toretsk community. Additionally, energy workers have completed a number of grids repairs in Selydove, Marinka and Kostiantynivka communities.
Each new day in the Donetsk region brings new shelling and destruction. Fighting continues. 334 settlements of the Donetsk region remain without electricity. The most difficult directions are Sloviansk, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk and Bakhmut. Energy workers have to wait for a permit from the Armed Forces of Ukraine to commence repairs.
