DTEK emergency and restoration crews have restored power to most settlements of the Dnipropetrovsk region after night shelling, thus restoring electricity to 7,204 families that were without power due to damaged grids.

On August 8 and this night, russian army has made a large-scale attack on Nikopol district. Kryvyi Rih and Synelnykove districts also came under fire. Enemy shelling damaged power lines and electrical equipment. DTEK Dnipro Grids emergency crews have promptly conducted activities to restore its operation as soon as they obtained a permit for repair from the military. Over the course of a day, they restored electricity to 7,204 homes of residents of 7 settlements that were completely or partially de-energized due to hostilities.

386 families in 2 settlements of the region remain without electricity. The plan is to restore electricity to them by the end of the day.

Despite constant shelling, DTEK energy workers promptly repair lines and equipment damaged by the enemy. Since the beginning of a full-scale russian invasion, they have already restored power to more than 70,000 families in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The majority of restorations were in Kryvyi Rih and Nikopol districts that most often come under shelling. Work is conducted immediately after obtaining a permit from the AFU and State Emergency Service. Some settlements required repair of lines and equipment dozens of times since February 24.
