Over the course of a week, DTEK Donetsk Grids restored electricity to 28,600 homes in the Donetsk region, de-energized due to shelling

Despite the ongoing heavy fighting in the region, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to completely or partially restore electricity to residents of 60 settlements over the course of a week, thus restoring electricity supply to homes of 28,688 families, de-energized due to shelling in the Donetsk region. Including the weekend, when energy workers restored electricity to 11,000 families in 20 settlements, de-energized due to shelling.

Heavy fighting is ongoing in the Donetsk region. The enemy does not stop attacking day and night using artillery, which often does not give energy workers any time to move to safety. Last week, an energy worker was wounded when working at the substation. For the fourth time this month, energy company’s crews come under fire during performance of restoration activities. Nevertheless, energy workers continue to work and will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain permission for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Nearly 70 crews of DTEK Donetsk Grids are working daily on restorations in the Donetsk region.
