DTEK Donetsk Grids managed to restore electricity to almost 109,000 families in the frontline Donetsk region over the course of a week
Despite constant shelling of the region, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews managed to completely or partially restore electricity to 197 settlements over the course of the week, thus restoring electricity to homes of 108,608 families in the frontline Donetsk region.
Including the weekend, when energy workers were able to repair a number of damages and restore electricity to almost 5,000 families in 5 settlements, de-energized due to hostilities.
Active hostilities are ongoing in the Donetsk region. Shelling, missile and air strikes continue. In particular, according to the General Staff, over 16 enemy attacks have been repelled over the course of the day on the Marinka direction alone.
Constant shelling constantly damages grids and equipment. Specialists of the energy company, in their turn, do not always have access to the work sites due to the security situation in the region. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
