DTEK Grids DSO restored electricity to more than 160,000 homes after shelling in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kyiv and Odesa regions over the course of the week
Last week, energy workers in the Dnipropetrovsk region, which was hit by especially powerful enemy strikes, were able to restore power supply to 101,000 homes. The aggressor intensifies the shelling of the Dnipropetrovsk region, thus causing damage to the grids and power outages for the residents.
Specialists in the Donetsk region, where the situation remains extremely difficult due to the ongoing hostilities, managed to restore electricity to homes of 54,500 families of local residents. Despite constant danger, our energy workers continue to restore electricity in the frontline region once it becomes possible.
Kyiv region also continues to suffer from enemy attacks. Here, specialists of the energy company were able to restore electricity to 6,200 homes last week.
The enemy does not stop attacking Odesa region, too: last week energy workers restored electricity to more than a thousand homes here, de-energized due to enemy attacks.
“Despite constant shelling and danger, energy workers continue to repair power facilities, damaged by the enemy, for as long as 1,244 days now. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to more than 20 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. Some settlements close to the area of hostilities had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions,” – noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.
Energy workers of DTEK Grids are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
