DTEK restored electricity to more than 151,000 homes in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Kyiv regions over the course of the week
Last week, the specialists managed to restore electricity to homes of 64,100 families of residents of the Donetsk region, where heavy fighting is still ongoing. Despite constant threat, our energy workers continue to restore electricity in the Donetsk region once it becomes possible.
From March 10 to 16, energy workers in the Dnipropetrovsk region, in their turn, were able to restore power to 56,300 homes. The enemy is shelling the Dnipropetrovsk region more and more often, regularly damaging grids and leaving residents of the region without electricity.
Odesa region also continues to suffer from enemy attacks. Last week, specialists of the energy company were able to restore electricity to 31,100 homes here.
The enemy does not stop attacking the Kyiv region too: over the course of the week, energy workers here restored power to 150 homes, de-energized due to enemy attacks.
“Despite constant shelling and danger, energy workers continue to repair power facilities, damaged by the enemy, for 1,118 days now. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to more than 18 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. Some settlements close to the area of hostilities had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions,” – noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.
DTEK Grids energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
