DTEK Grids DSO restored electricity to almost 139,000 homes after shelling in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Kyiv regions over the course of the week
Last week, specialists in the Donetsk region, where heavy fighting is still ongoing, managed to restore electricity to homes of more than 58,100 families of local residents. Despite constant danger, our energy workers continue to restore electricity in the frontline region once it becomes possible.
From July 7 to 13, energy workers in the Dnipropetrovsk region, in their turn, were able to restore power supply to 56,600 homes. The enemy continues to attack the Dnipropetrovsk region, thus regularly damaging grids and leaving residents of the region without electricity.
Kyiv region also continues to suffer from enemy attacks. Here, specialists of the energy company were able to restore electricity to 23,800 homes last week.
The enemy does not stop attacking Odesa region, too: energy workers here restored electricity to 251 homes, de-energized due to enemy attacks last week.
“Despite constant security challenges, energy workers continue to repair power facilities, damaged by the enemy, for as long as 1,237 days now. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to 19.8 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. Some settlements close to the area of hostilities had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions,” – noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.
Energy workers of DTEK Grids are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
