DTEK restored electricity to almost 423,000 homes in Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions over the course of a week
The majority – in the Odesa region, where yet another large-scale enemy attack caused massive outages. First, energy workers restored power supply to the critical infrastructure facilities. Additionally, energy workers continue to work on restoration of electricity to the household customers, wherever possible, but the situation with power supply remains difficult. Yesterday alone, specialists of the energy company restored electricity to 378,500 homes. They continue to work on restoration of electricity for all customers, de-energized due to this attack.
Dnipropetrovsk region also continues to suffer from frequent enemy attacks that constantly damage grids and leave residents of the region without electricity. From November 11 to 17, our specialists here managed to repair a number of grids damages and restore electricity to 29,200 families.
Meanwhile, Donetsk region remains the nucleus of the most active hostilities with daily artillery shelling, missile, drone and air strikes. Restoring power supply here becomes increasingly difficult and dangerous. Despite an extremely difficult situation, our specialists continue repairs of the grids once it becomes possible and the military provide permission for work performance. Last week, they managed to restore power to homes of 15,000 local residents.
“The enemy once again attacked the energy infrastructure of Ukraine. Energy workers continue to work on restorations despite the danger and have been holding the energy front for 999 days now. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to more than 15.7 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. Some settlements close to the area of hostilities had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions,” – noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.
DTEK Grids energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
