DTEK Grids DSO restored electricity to 75,500 families in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions over the course of the week
Last week, enemy attacks on the energy infrastructure continued. Likewise, energy workers again and again repaired grids and equipment, damaged by shelling. In particular, they managed to restore electricity to 58,300 families in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The enemy is shelling this region almost daily, thus regularly damaging grids and leaving its residents without electricity.
In the Donetsk region, which remains the region of the most active hostilities, energy workers, despite all security challenges, managed to restore power to 17,200 homes of local residents over the course of the week. Restoring electricity in the Donetsk region becomes increasingly difficult. Nevertheless, the specialists continue to work wherever it is possible.
“Despite all risks, energy workers continue to hold the energy front for 1,146 days now. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to 18.4 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. Some settlements close to the area of hostilities had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions,” – noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.
Energy workers of DTEK Grids DSO are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
