From November 3 to 9, energy workers of the DTEK Grids Distribution Systems Operators (DSO) were able to completely or partially restore power to 978 settlements, thus restoring electricity to homes of almost 780,000 families in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk and Odesa regions. Specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution Systems Operators repair the grids immediately after obtaining permission from the AFU and the SES.

The majority of restorations were in the Donetsk region, where heavy fighting is ongoing. Despite an extremely difficult situation, our energy workers continue to work once it becomes possible. Last week, they managed to restore power to 528,500* homes here.

From November 3 to 9, energy workers in the Dnipropetrovsk region, which continues to suffer from both enemy attacks and the proximity of the frontline, in their turn, managed to restore electricity to almost 240,000 homes of local residents, de-energized by shelling.

The enemy does not stop attacking the Odesa region too: over the week, energy workers here restored electricity to 11,800 families, whose homes were de-energized by enemy attacks.

“The enemy is focusing on attacking power facilities. Despite constant security challenges and continuous destruction of the energy system, energy workers continue to repair it and have been restoring electricity to the homes of Ukrainians for as long as 1,356 days now. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to a total of 25.5 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. We have restored electricity to some settlements close to the combat zone on dozens of occasions,” – noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.

DTEK Grids DSO energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
