Over the course of the week, DTEK Grids DSO restored electricity to almost 800,000 homes in three regions after the attacks
The majority of restorations were in the Donetsk region, where the situation remains extremely difficult due to active fighting. Despite all security challenges, our energy workers continue to work once it becomes possible. Last week, they managed to restore power to almost 570,000* homes here.
From November 17 to 23, energy workers in the Dnipropetrovsk region, which continues to suffer from both enemy attacks and the proximity of the frontline, in their turn, managed to restore electricity to almost 180,000 homes of local residents, de-energized by shelling.
The enemy continues to attack the Odesa region too: over the week, energy workers here restored electricity to 43,100 families, whose homes were de-energized by enemy attacks.
“The enemy continues to attack power facilities. Despite the danger and continuous destruction of the energy system, energy workers continue repairs and have been restoring electricity to the homes of Ukrainians for as long as 1,370 days now. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to a total of 27.1 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. We have restored electricity to some settlements close to the combat zone on dozens of occasions,” – noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.
DTEK Grids DSO energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
