From September1 to 7, energy workers of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators (DSO) were able to completely or partially restore power to 326 settlements, thus restoring electricity to homes of more than 207,000 families in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Odesa and Kyiv regions. Specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators repair the grids immediately after obtaining permission from the AFU and the SES.

The majority of restorations were in the Dnipropetrovsk region, which continues to suffer from both enemy attacks and the proximity of the frontline. Last week, energy workers here managed to restore electricity to 94,800 homes of local residents, de-energized by shelling.

The situation in the Donetsk region, where active fighting is ongoing, remains extremely difficult due to constant and massive shelling. From September 1 to 7, energy workers managed to restore power to 82,300 homes. Despite constant danger, our energy workers continue to restore electricity in the frontline region once it becomes possible.

The enemy does not stop attacking the Odesa region, too: over the course of the week, energy workers here restored electricity to 27,400 families, whose homes were de-energized by enemy attacks.

Specialists of the energy company in the Kyiv region, in their turn, were able to restore electricity to 2,600 homes over the same period.

“Despite constant security challenges, energy workers continue to repair power facilities, damaged by the enemy, for as long as 1,293 days now. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to 21.5 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. Some settlements close to the area of hostilities had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions,” – noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.

Energy workers of DTEK Grids DSO are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
