The majority – in the Donetsk region, which remains the nexus of extremely difficult hostilities. Despite constant danger, energy workers managed to restore electricity to 145,800 homes of the region’s residents last week.

During the same period, energy workers in the capital, which continues to be constantly attacked by the enemy, restored power to more than 140,000 Kyivans.

From June 1 to 7, specialists in the Dnipropetrovsk region were able to restore power to 70,700 homes. The enemy is constantly attacking Dnipropetrovsk region, thus regularly damaging grids and leaving residents of the region without electricity.

Energy workers in the Odesa region, in their turn, managed to restore electricity to homes of 2,500 families of local residents last week. During the same period, energy workers in the Kyiv region managed to restore power to more than a thousand homes that were also de-energized due to enemy attacks.

“The enemy continues its attacks, including the ones on our country’s energy system, almost non-stop. Despite everything – large-scale destruction of the energy system, security challenges and fatigue – we continue to work and restore electricity for as long as 1,566 days now. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to more than 45.7 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. We have restored electricity in some settlements close to the combat zone on dozens of occasions,” – noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.

Energy workers of DTEK Grids DSO are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from AFU and SES.
